Buying 3D Print Filament in Canada
Living in Canada there are not many sources for cheap PLA or ABS for 3D printers. RepRappers and Makerbotters are required to pay crazy prices for questionable quality filament, or have it shipped from the US paying ridiculous shipping and brokerage fees.
This post will attempt to summarize the choices available to the Makers north of the 49th parallel. I hope it helps!

Beware 3D DIYers, Google Sketch-Up sold to Trimble
Google’s 3D design software, SketchUp, has been sold to Trimble Navigation Ltd for an undisclosed price. Trimble promises to keep the free version available, which is great news for 3D fabrication designers!
